Softball Player Coordinates Annual Blood Drive at Bethel

Bethel College will host a community blood drive Thursday, Apr. 22 from 10:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in Goodman Gymnasium.

This is the third blood drive this academic year with senior softball player Tara Blair as the coordinator of the event. This past summer she and 14 other National Association of Intercollegiate Athletic (NAIA) athletes interned with the American Red Cross and the NAIA in Washington D.C. While there, Blair created a strategic plan to organize blood drives on Bethel’s campus as a part of her internship requirements.

Blair encourages students to donate and hopes to collect more units of blood than in the past. An additional incentive to donate is the opportunity to enter into a drawing to win a $50 gasoline gift card.

To make your donation appointment, visit Use the sponsor code: pilots. Walk-ins are also welcome. For more information, contact Tara Blair at
