Bethel Announces Scholarship Changes

Beginning fall 2012, new Bethel College students will benefit from two changes to the Missionary Church Scholarship and the New Alumni Legacy Award.

The Missionary Church Scholarship is currently awarded to new students who are active in the fellowship of a Missionary Church and have submitted a letter or reference from a pastor along with their application for admission. The change is reflected in the increasing amount from $1,200 to $2,000 annually. The scholarship will be renewable over four years, totaling $8,000, which is $3,200 more than the current amount. Eligible students must live on campus to receive the full amount. Off-campus students will receive a $1,000 annual scholarship, an annual increase of $400.

The New Alumni Legacy Award will be awarded to students whose parent(s) or grandparent(s) are Bethel alumni. The annual award amount of $1,500 will be renewable for a total of $6,000 over four years. Students must live on campus to be eligible for the full amount. Off-campus students will receive a $750 annual scholarship.
