Employer registration open for annual career and internship fair

Employer registration is now open for the Bethel College career and internship fair, to be held Wednesday, March 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wiekamp Athletic Center on Bethel’s campus. Registration is free and open to employers seeking to fill internships and salaried positions.

Bethel and WorkOne Offer Hospitality and Tourism Training Program

Bethel College and WorkOne are partnering to offer a new session of their successful Hospitality and Tourism Training Program. The session will begin on Jan. 23 and run through Feb. 10 with classes at the WorkOne office on Marietta Street in South Bend. WorkOne covers the cost of the training for all participants.

Homeless Combat Veterans Gather for Christmas Meal at Bethel

Residents from the Robert L. Miller, Sr., Veteran’s Center will gather for a special Christmas dinner in the Bethel College Dining Commons on Saturday, Dec. 17. Congresswoman Jackie Walorski will be the guest speaker.

Education Department Receives Continuing Accreditation

The Bethel College Education Department recently received accreditation for all of its programs through 2023, based on the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) standards. All accreditation standards were met, with no stipulations.

Students and Faculty Plan for New Unity Garden on Campus

Bethel College students, faculty and staff are joining together to create a “free to pick” garden on Bethel’s campus. The project is a collaboration with South Bend Unity Gardens, the college’s Enactus student team, and individual faculty who are passionate about beginning a garden on campus.

Bethel Students Learn from Stratford Festival Actors

Two actors and one director from the internationally acclaimed Stratford Festival will present a four-day residency at Bethel College. Bethel is the first private college to do a residency with this prestigious group, who has previously conducted workshops at Michigan State University, University of Missouri and Wayne State University.

David Britton and Jean Watson to Present “Sounds of the Season” at Bethel College

Recording artists David Britton and Jean Watson, along with the Nashville Bandoliers, will present the “Sounds of the Season” Christmas concert on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. on the campus of Bethel College, in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium. The concert will be a unique blend of musical styles that will delight the audience with a variety of Christmas favorites.
