Bethel College School of Nursing Ranked Seventh in the Nation for RN Programs

The Bethel College School of Nursing has been ranked seventh in the nation on the list of “Top RN Degree Programs for 2017.” The list, compiled by Accredited Schools Online, ranked schools all over the country based on criteria such as cost, graduation rates and resources available to them. With a score of 97.20 out of 100, Bethel is the only Indiana college to appear in the top 30 and the only CCCU (Council for Christian Colleges and Universities) school to appear in the top 20.

The Bethel College Education Department is hosting a Cadet Teacher Professional Development day on March 23 for high school juniors and seniors who are considering a future as a teacher.

Bethel College Hosts Educator Job Fair for Teachers

The Bethel College Education Department and Career Services Office are hosting an educator job fair for teachers on March 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wiekamp Athletic Center. Representatives from 16 school districts will be on hand to host interviews for interested teacher candidates.

Bethel College presents spring musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!”

The Bethel College Theatre Department presents its annual spring musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” Performances are March 24, 25 and 31 at 7:30 p.m., and March 25 and April 1 at 1 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium.

Book Launch Party for Linhart’s New Release, “The Self-Aware Leader”

Terry Linhart, Ph.D., Bethel College professor of Christian ministries and chair of the Department of Religion & Philosophy, will be hosting a book launch party for his latest book, “The Self-Aware Leader.” The party will be on Saturday, March 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Steelyard Coffee Co.,  916 N. Michigan St., Elkhart, Ind.

Bethel Hosts Career and Internship Fair with More Than 100 Employers

The Bethel College Career Services Office is hosting a career and internship fair on Wednesday, March 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wiekamp Athletic Center on Bethel’s campus. Representatives from more than 100 employers will be on hand to talk about available jobs and internships.

Bethel Hosts Workshop for Mental Health Professionals

The Bethel College Counseling Service is hosting a workshop for mental health professionals titled, “Cultural Competency: Ethical Practice in Mental Health.” It will be on Friday, March 17 from 9-11 a.m. in the Middleton Hall of Science – Octorium on Bethel’s campus.

Bethel Professor, Deaf Storyteller to Perform at Michiana Deaf Alliance Fundraiser

Noah Buchholz, assistant professor of American Sign Language at Bethel College, will perform stories and poetry at a fundraiser for the Michiana Deaf Alliance on Feb. 18 at 3 p.m., in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium on Bethel’s campus. A Valentine’s party will follow at 4:30 p.m., with a hot soup buffet and sweets.

Bethel Offers Assistance to Displaced Saint Joseph’s College Students

Bethel is offering assistance to displaced students from Saint Joseph’s College, who announced recently that it will suspend operations at the end of the current semester. Approximately 900 students are affected and have begun the process of searching for an institution where they can complete their academic career.
