We equip worship leaders, songwriters and musicians with the technical skills and biblical foundations needed to become excellent leaders in worship ministry.

Who We Are

Bethel School of Music is an online school designed to equip worship leaders, songwriters and musicians with the technical skills and biblical foundations needed to become excellent leaders in worship ministry. Our classes are taught by leading voices in modern worship including Bethel Music, Elevation Worship and more. The music/worship certificate is offered by Bethel Music through an agreement with William Jessup University, and leads to a Bachelor's Degree in Leadership or Music Ministry.

Accredited Worship Program

The Course:

  1. Biblical Foundations of Worship Ministry
    Overview of worship in the Old and New Testaments, leading to an understanding of our call to worship throughout history.
  2. Music Theory Applied to Worship I
    Music theory foundations for worship in the context of the local church.
  3. Fundamentals of Music and Business A
    Part I - Fundamentals of the music business, from its history to publishing music in today’s industry.
  4. Fundamentals of Music and Business B
    Part II - Fundamentals of the music business, from its history to publishing music in today’s industry.
  5. Instrument & Production Training I
    Part I - Exercises in beginning musical abilities related to techniques of listening and ear analyzation of certain genres of music, as well as basic piano proficiency.
  6. Applied Worship Lab I
    Focus on live performance and chosen discipline - worship leadership, songwriting, and instrumental (guitar, bass, keys, drums) or vocal performance.
  7. Worship Ministry Fundamentals
    Foundations of what it means to worship holistically and biblically in the context of the local church.
  8. Music Theory Applied to Worship II
    Basic to intermediate musical principles, with specific regard to popular and commercial music.
  9. Spiritual Formation for Worship Ministry Leadership A
    Part I - Introduction to spiritual practices designed to help students grow in the grace of God as they practice their worship ministry leadership.
  10. Instrument & Production Training II
    Part II - Students continue to develop beginning musical abilities related to techniques of listening and ear analysis of certain genres of music.
  11. Applied Worship Lab II
    Focus on live performance and chosen discipline - worship leadership, songwriting, and instrumental (guitar, bass, keys, drums) or vocal performance.
  12. Spiritual Formation for Worship Ministry Leadership B
    Part II - Introduction to spiritual practices designed to help students grow in the grace of God as they practice their worship ministry leadership.
