The Course:

  1. Coding From Scratch
    Basics of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Source Control.
  2. Front-End Foundations
    Advanced concepts of CSS and JavaScript.
  3. Programming Foundations
    Basic programming concepts with choice of JavaScript, C#, or Java.
  4. Front-End Frameworks
    Front-end frameworks and Single Page Web Applications (SPA) with Angular or React.
  5. Back-End Foundations
    Concepts of server-side software development, relational and non-relational databases, webservers, and software platforms in Express, ASP.NET, or Spring.
  6. Database Foundations
    Database concepts, theory, and an overview of various implementations and architectures.
  7. Mobile Apps & Responsive Design
    Mobile applications (iOS/Android), Angular and Cordova, and Responsive Design.
  8. Agile Project Management & Career Skills
    Principles of managing software projects and teams, interview techniques, and career search skills.
  9. Deployment & Web Security
    Building and deploying applications to cloud hosting providers and key concepts of web security.
  10. Project Capstone
    Develop a Full Stack application as an Agile Project Team.
  11. Bethel Kingdom Core Foundations

The Course:

  1. Design Thinking and Structures
    Basics of design principles, user empathy, and testing product hypothesis.
  2. Research Methods
    Overview of user research methods including quantitative, qualitative, and competitive analysis.
  3. Research Demonstration
    Concepts of empathy maps, user personas, journey maps, and data analysis.
  4. Ideation and Strategy
    Discovery and development of ideation techniques, user stories, sitemaps, card sorting, and brand strategy.
  5. Coding Structures
    Basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript and Source Control.
  6. Front-end Theories and Practices
    Advanced concepts of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  7. Interaction Design and Prototyping
    Lab environment where students develop competency in design tools, sketching screens, wireframes, grid layouts UI patterns and libraries. Key concepts of rapid prototyping, creating a prototype with a tool like Sketch or Adobe XD.
  8. Presentations, Pitches, and Proposals
    Building case studies, design presentations, processes and Client Projects. Develop a portfolio platform, personal brand, resumes, and social media content for hiring and the digital marketplace.
  9. Capstone Design
    Presentation of individual and client projects upon graduation.

  1. Basic Statistics
    Probability, Data Types, Common Distributions, Common Descriptive Statistics and Statistical Inference.
  2. Databases
    Foundational knowledge of database concepts, theory, and overview of various implementations and architectures.
  3. Programming Foundations
    Programming Foundations in a language heavily used in data science.
  4. Statistical Programming
    Basic scripting and data manipulation commands, introduction to a vast library of functions to perform various statistical analyses.
  5. Data Visualization
    Data wrangling and manipulation to meet the rigid requirements for analysis, graphical representation of data.
  6. Metrics and Data Processing
    Creation of new metrics to directly answer business questions, theory and practice of statistical process control.
  7. Intermediate Statistics
    Hypothesis testing under multiple scenarios, identification and verification of data requirements for hypothesis testing.
  8. Introduction to Big Data
    Foundational concept of Big Data and how to move from Big Data basic to more business-specific needs and requirements.
  9. Machine Learning and Modeling
    Determine the best methods for a given set of data, use of common software tools to utilize these methods.
  10. Group Project
    Work as a team in a scrum environment to cover tasks and progress collective and individually to meet project goals.

  1. Security Foundations
    Fundamental understanding of security concepts including threats, risk management, and security response.
  2. Network Foundations
    Technical skills required in network administration and support.
  3. System Administration
    General system administration, installing and configuring network components.
  4. Network Defense
    Overview of tools used to defend a network as well as vulnerability and penetration testing to identify threats.
  5. Cryptography and Access Management
    Methodologies and concepts of cryptography and access management, and algorithms used to ensure safe transmission, storage and use of sensitive data.
  6. Logging and Monitoring
    Analyze and interpret various security related logs with focus on standard logs and Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems.
  7. Progamming Foundations
    Programming foundations in languages utilized in the industry, writing reliable and performant code.
  8. Web Application Security and Project Management
    Learn the mindset, discipline, and methods for securing a software project and traditional project management concepts with a focus on Agile software development methodology.
  9. Threats and Vulnerabilities
    An in depth look at the various threats and vulnerabilities faced by every organization and technology user. Covers topics in hardware, software and people.
  10. Capstone Project
    Work as a team in a scrum environment to cover tasks and progress collectively and individually to meet security project goals.
